Primer siete pulgadas de este grupo estadounidense del que ya subí un gran compartido. Un tema por cara (me quedo con Dark days) en este disco con un sonido y unas letras muy emo. Sacaron además un siete pulgadas más (Continental) y una discografía que recoge sus tres discos, temas de recopilatorios y canciones en directo.

Siete pulgadas con dos temas de este grupo inglés de principios de los noventa que grabaron bastantes discos  (dos LPs, cinco siete pulgadas y un doce pulgadas) en apenas tres o cuatro años. Emo inglés (en la onda de grupos como Bob Tilton o Polaris) con un sonido muy personal e intenso (2 Pounds es un temazo) que mezcla lo rockero (o experimental) del sonido DC con su herencia punk inglesa. Edición muy cuidada a cargo  del propio grupo y del interesante sello belga que sacó también, entre otros, los siete pulgadas de Acme o Blindfold.

Maravilloso grupo suizo de principios de los noventa que conocí por la canción alocada que tienen en el recopilatorio Give Me Back (Bona fide) que está en este disco. Tres temas en una cara y otro por la otra haciendo un punk versátil y personal cantado en inglés con muchos cambios de ritmo.Además de este disco tienen un siete pulgadas y un ocho pulgadas (!) en directo, grabados un año antes, que más tarde fueron recogidos en una discografía con algunas canciones de recopilatorios.

Uno de los tantos discos de estos imparables anarcopunks escoceses que llevan más de veinte años tocando su punk sin adjetivos. Cuatro temazos (sobre liberación animal, el aborto, la guerra y la homofobia) donde descargan toda su rabia y energía. Uno de los grandes.

El trío de HHH (de Banyoles) haciendo hardcorepunk rápido, melódico y pegadizo, cantado en inglés. Pura chispa. Cinco temas en apenas cinco minutos y casi sin respirar. Aunque lo grabaron en 1991, antes que su único LP Deep Wound, no salió hasta unos años después junto con su otro EP It's funny grabado en la misma sesión que éste. Todos discazos que se reunieron en una discografía hace unos años. Unos cracks.

"C'est comme un mal en moi qui m'effraie, qui me paralyse. Dérivant au grès des courants, tout ici est si fragile. J'ai passé trop de temps à écrire dans ma tête, tant de choses si fragiles, tant de choses si futiles. J'aurai aimé tout changer, mais ce n'est pas si facile. Tellement d'années où mon éducation ressurgit comme autant de frustrations." (Frustrations)

Primer disco de los franceses Ananda. Desde que subí el split no he podido parar de escucharlo así que me apetecía compartirlo. Frustrations, la última canción del disco, me sigue pareciendo la mejor de las siete, el colofón final perfecto para esta joya llena de detalles. Fue el único disco a dos voces, con cantante masculino y femenina, que abandonó posteriormente el proyecto, de un grupo que ha ido cambiando con cada disco. Fue uno de los primeros grupos franceses que escuché y uno de esos discos que ha marcado. Básico.

Tercer (y creo que último) disco de esta banda canadiense con cuatro temas algo más elaborados que los del primer disco que subí hace poco (además de un siete pulgadas compartido con Republic of Freedom Fighters  sacaron algunas canciones en diferentes recopilatorios). Solamente el precioso libreto con las letras y textos del grupo (en inglés) que mezclan explicaciones personales con artículos políticos y bonitas ilustraciones, ya hace que este disco tan bien presentado valga la pena. Por fortuna no se queda sólo en eso y la música está a la altura: la voz en este disco suena mejor, y me sigue gustando la chispa, ese puntillo positivo, que transmite. Un disco bien hecho.
